this season sees the launch of sula's new workwear range. flared jeans with a 1970s vibe; jacket square (a derivation of the classic jean jacket), and menswear style overalls have all been carefully cut to flatter the female form. all feature multiple pockets and fasten with hand-painted, and rubbed-down, wood buttons. they are crafted using luxury soft (flattering and comfortable) japanese denim in deepest indigo and a faded cocoa tone.

we also present our first bridal dress – an ethereal flowery puff of silk organza. seemingly voluminous and sheer, it has silk ties and khadi (hand-woven cotton) lining. features include an elasticated scoop neckline, bubble hem sleeves and our signature roomy pockets. cream coloured with the tiniest dab of watery rose; we call the colour tone moon beam. this, and a matching blouse, can also be dressed down. or, you can opt for the same styles in more understated cambric (lightweight cotton).

running throughout, is a gorgeous rich cotton satin fabric in exquisite tones of misted yellow, candy pink, warm taupe and vanilla cream. it comes as hand-stitched corset vests; daisy skirt with its asymmetric button and tied waistline, half-ruffle hemline and raw edges; our signature japan pants, dewey dress, and sunny blouse which we re-present with a longer line. dewey dress, with its signature hand stitched front tab also comes in natural linen, providing a workwear feel (think artist smock).

also new this season are painter pants, featuring the style's distinctive side loop; with our extended buttoned fly, legs cut on the curve and detailed triangle tab fastenings. back pleat jacket is a softly tailored, lightweight, summer garment that is gently waisted with a fan-pleated back detail. they are made in japanese chambray linen in slubby black and silvery paper bark.

this season's print was inspired by the faded pressed flowers found betwixt antique book leaves. it comes in crystal grey, faded poppy, misted yellow and candy pink on a faded white ground. we use the reverse of the cotton cambric and cotton gauze to create a 'watery' hue. it is available in asymmetric moonbeam dress and our new sweet blouse with bubble-hem sleeves.
